                                Dr. Martin Boorin

 

         For more than 20 years, Dr. Martin Boorin has provided first-rate sedation and general anesthesia for adults and children throughout the New York Metropolitan Region. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Boorin completed his two-year Dental Anesthesiology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He became a full time anesthesiologist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1992.

         Dr. Boorin specializes in managing patients who are medically compromised and patients with mental and physical disabilities or difficult airways. He currently provides anesthesia services at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and Stony Brook University Medical Center. As a clinical assistant professor at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, he provides clinical and didactic instruction to post graduate dental residents. Dr. Boorin is a diplomat of the American Dental Board of Anesthesia and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and an active member of many other professional organizations.

He provides anesthetic medications to allow your child to “sleep” through the procedure in a safe, controlled, and monitored setting thus allowing us to provide the highest quality, pain-free and comprehensive dental care.
            Dr. Boorin's mission is to provide the highest standard of patient care and safety, in the comfort, convenience and familiar surroundings of the pediatric dental office.

Dr. Boorin resides in Suffolk County and enjoys spending time with his family and children. His hobbies include biking, soccer, fishing, photography and reading historical literature.
